A Win For Australian Marine Life
I am so happy this afternoon as Australia’s ocean environments will be protected under new laws to create the largest network of marine parks. After months of campaigning and many petitions from Save the Reef.org and many other organizations the people have finally won. This is such a great moment for Australia and the World. Maybe many more countries will follow our lead and turn the worlds oceans into Marine Parks.
A little closer to home is the Coral Sea which I am thrilled about The Great Barrier Reef will be protected. At nearly one million square kilometres of clear water, coral reefs and spectacular marine life, the Coral Sea truly is the jewel in the crown of these beautiful parks.
This iconic place will be protected from oil and gas exploration, and half will be free from all kinds of fishing.
This is a start of the changes to come where maybe our politicians will put the Earth and her future before profits and greed. If you signed the petition then thank you. It is so important that we the people start to stand up for what we believe in. We are the majority not the minority.
